WORLD CUP OF ULTRACYLING POINTS
We encourage a wide range of cyclists to take part in Revolve24 - from teams looking to bond over a weekend challenge, folk wanting to raise awareness and cash for charity to competitive cyclists looking to win a place on the podium.
We are also really pleased to be able to welcome back another group - ultra athletes wishing to use Revolve24 events to earn points in the UMCA World Series
ENTRY & EVENT RULES
Soloists taking part in the UMCA world series can now use Revolve24 , both in the UK and Australia, as a points qualifying event. This applies to the 6hr, 12hr and 24hr options.
All are subject to the rules and regulations of the Ultra Marathon Cycling Association and also subject to the same guidance of bike, lighting and safety specifications as other Revolve24 riders - details of which can be found under "Bike Eligibility and Lights Guidance".
UMCA was founded in 1980 by John Marino, Michael Shermer, and Lon Haldeman. The UMCA is the leading international organization dedicated to ultracycling. They offer a calendar of ultracycling events where riders can earn points toward placement in the World Cup of UltraCycling, the Ultra-500 Race Series, and mileage toward the UMCA 6, 12 and 24 hour challenges.
The UMCA offers the Year-Rounder Mileage Challenge, which is a year-long bicycle mileage challenge that recognizes consistent performance in ultracycling throughout the season. Participants may earn credit by riding in centuries, double centuries, 12-hour races, 24-hour races, UltraCycling Cup events, and other ultra rides. More details on their fantastic race and contact details for any specific questions can be found at www.ultracycling.com
